JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing Manager role at Apria Healthcare is a critical role that is essential to the growth and success of our sleep and respiratory business.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies in the complex healthcare environment, a deep understanding of various marketing channels, and the ability to lead others towards achieving marketing goals.  As the Marketing Manager, you will be instrumental in crafting and executing cutting-edge healthcare marketing strategies for Apria Healthcare’s therapies and products.  You will spearhead marketing initiatives, encompassing product launches, campaigns, and digital channels while forging healthy relationships with clinical and sales teams.  Your collaborative and innovative efforts will propel the successful penetration of Apria’s therapies, enabling the field commercial organization to thrive and deliver unparalleled patient outcomes.

The Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in shaping the company’s market presence, enhancing engagement, and ultimately contributing to revenue growth.  This position has the responsibility to create and implement marketing plans that support the company’s business strategies related to our sleep and respiratory solutions.  The Marketing Manager will develop and manage marketing programs in specific channels, support business objectives, foster customer retention, provide sales support, and advance brand building.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with sales, category management, and clinical teams to align marketing strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Implement marketing programs and market development initiatives targeted at key customers to grow sleep and respiratory business.
  • Assists with attaining revenue and gross margin budget for sleep and respiratory categories.
  • Develop product promotional materials to support the field sales team, product reimbursement guidelines, and continuing education programs (CEUs).
  • Maintain a solid understanding of the market by monitoring the competitive landscape, reimbursement information, identifying trends or changes that will impact business, and recommending actions and contingency plans to maximize opportunities.
  • Collaborate with others on the marketing team to create compelling marketing materials and digital strategies adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Support the company’s digital presence, including website content and social media platforms.
  • Coordinate and manage various marketing projects, ensuring deadlines are met and resources are allocated effectively.
  • Introduce key messages, clinical evidence, and best practices to the field commercial organization.
  • Establish performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Communicate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Drive the development of business strategies by capturing and mining market insight and translating it into actionable, differentiated programs.
  • Support training new sales representatives.
  • Manage marketing budgets for sleep and respiratory categories
  • Work with VP of Sleep and VP of Respiratory to develop and implement effective annual marketing plans, optimizing and measuring outcomes throughout the year
  • Manage relationships with vendors.
  • Performs other duties as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position manages direct reports within the department and is responsible for the performance management, hiring, and discipline of direct reports within the department.
  • Provides direction and guidance in work assignments.
  • Provides timely coaching, mentoring, career development guidance and feedback to staff.
  • Ensures work assignments are completed accurately, efficiently, and timely.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • BS/BA in Business or Marketing required.
  • MBA and/or professional credentials a plus.
  • 5+ years Health Care Marketing experience with demonstrated success in marketing management a plus.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated ability to work across functions to prioritize and drive strategic objectives.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to contribute innovative ideas to marketing strategies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent data analytical and visualization skills including Power BI, Excel, Cognos, Access, and Salesforce.com.
  • Familiarity with industry trends and best practices in marketing.
  • High degree of initiative and self-motivation with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems with minimal direction and make decisions with confidence.
  • Aptitude to successfully prioritize and manage multiple tasks while adhering to deadlines

  • English (reading, writing, verbal)

  • Intermediate level mathematical proficiency, with a strong ability to understand, interpret and develop spreadsheet data.

  • Domestic travel required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.  It also may require occasional lifting, carrying, walking, climbing, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching above the shoulder. This position also may require the occasional lifting of equipment up to 50 lbs.

Compensation

  • Compensation is commensurate with experience
  • Annual compensation is based on a 40 hour week
