Job summary
We are looking for a high caliber Creative Director for Buy with Prime to join our brand marketing leadership team on a project with strategic significance and high exposure. The initiative is fundamental to Amazon’s future, and will provide great personal satisfaction and career development as we tackle some of the most intriguing problems.

In this role you are expected to lead a team of high-performing art directors and visual designers, help the team build the best possible brand for our customers and drive initiatives that help the team scale. This is the right role if you are invested in other people’s growth, have strong experience in visual design and branding, a passion for building, and a knack for translating complex design and brand ideas into simple solutions.

Key job responsibilities
• Role model, mentor, and motivator for other designers, invested in growing people, developing talent, and creating an engaging environment for designers.
• Present and facilitate strategic design discussions to top-level executives and build strong connections with marketing leaders and other design leads in the organization to ensure the Brand Marketing Design team can support stakeholders most effectively.

• Translate brand strategy into the best design solutions, driving new initiatives in collaboration with other design teams within Buy with Prime as well as other partner teams across Amazon.
• Develop career growth plans, identify, and facilitate new areas of growth and training opportunities for the design team to support ongoing learning.
• Develop processes and identify opportunities for improvements that drive quality and efficiency to help designers accomplish more.

• Influence business strategy based on an accurate understanding of the needs and expectations of our users, customers, and partners.
• Ability to think big, framing designs in the context of the broader customer experience, and comfortable diving deep into the details.
• Strong organizational skills, helping your team work effectively.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 10+ years of experience as a Designer.
• 5+ years of experience as a Design Lead/Manager.
• A portfolio of personal and team design work including human-centered design process and business success.
• Experience building and leading medium-sized teams.
• Experience leading highly visible design projects with a high number of stakeholders involved.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• A degree in an Art discipline.

The pay range for this position in Jersey City is $ 151,600 – 205,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the Pay Transparency Regulation of Jersey City Municipal Code. Base pay information is based on market location.
