Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced or Senior Procurement Agent to join our Space and Launch Team, working on the International Space Station and Starliner programs. This position will lead the development and execution of complex sourcing and contracting strategies. We are looking for a high energy, passionate supply chain professional to take on large scale challenges and streamline the supply chain.


This exciting role is fast paced and provides a unique opportunity to learn about and support the Boeing Space Business. You will build a foundation of skills, experiences and partnerships necessary to develop and pursue more complex Supply Chain opportunities across the Boeing enterprise.

Position Responsibilities – Experienced Level 4:

Provides oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance.
Leads negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions.
Prepares and executes negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements.
Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions.
Consults with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues.
Leads supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities.
Participates on supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies.


Position Responsibilities – Senior Level 5:

Develops procurement and supply chain solutions, strategies and policies to support customer requirements.
Develops and executes company strategic business goals and objectives.
Consults on proposal analyses and development of negotiation strategies.
Formalizes procurement requirements with customers and leads the supplier negotiation process.
Prepares and executes negotiated documents.
Ensures compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Manages contract terminations.
Develops organization and company improvement plans.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

More than 5 years of experience in supplier management or supply chain management.
More than 5 years of experience in contract negotiations.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Experienced Level 4: More than 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Senior Level 5: More than 10 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
More than 5 years of experience drafting, negotiating and executing complex contracts and subcontracts.
More than 10 years of experience creating and developing strategy plans.
More than 10 years of experience developing proposals.
More than 10 years of experience working in Procurement and/or Contract Administration roles.


Typical Education/Experience:

Experienced Level 4: Typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Senior Level 5: Typically 15 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
