Community Development Project Support Specialist
As a Community Development Project Support Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting a variety of projects providing strategic consulting support to affordable housing, community development, and/or economic development agencies throughout the United States. You will become an integral part of a team that is developing and offering innovative, accurate, timely, and high-quality products and services for multiple clients. Typically working on multiple projects at a time with all levels of staff, you will provide project support on a variety of tasks, including logistical support and delivery of webinars and trainings, financial management and tracking, developing communication and outreach materials, drafting reports and written products, and much more.

We are open to supporting 100% remote work anywhere within the US.
What you’ll be doing
Work with a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team of HUD subject matter experts, content managers, graphic designers, data analysts, and more
Develop knowledge of HUD programs to draft content for website, training materials, and other communications
Assist in developing and preparing written and web products, training materials, or other deliverables to clients
Assist with supporting webinar planning, logistics, and delivery.
Format slides and deliverables, and develop graphical elements for web pages, listserv messages, guidebooks, trainings, infographics, etc.
Update website text, images, video, and other media
Draft and edit content for clarity, readability, and effectiveness
Conduct web research on community development topics
Support project administration including budget tracking, scheduling, deadlines, file management
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, such as in Public Policy, Political Science, Government, Economics, Urban Planning, or another similar field
Minimum 2 years of work experience in housing and/or community development field
Additional Skills
Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
Tech savvy and eager to learn.
Strong eye for visual design
Experience using Canva
Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud Applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat)

Proactive and work well both independently and as part of a team
Ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills

Outstanding customer service including being able to remain cool under pressure and possessing a no-problem-too-big-or-too-small attitude
Ability to effectively prioritize tasks with competing deadlines

Pay Range – There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is
$34,206.00 – $58,150.00
