Description:
As an Information Technology Business Analyst, you will be a driver of progress in helping modernize technology and processes for multiple clients. This provides an opportunity to work with Agile teams to develop digital products to support several missions for our clients. You will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and managing requirements and collaborating directly with the client and team to deliver desired outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities
– Serve as the trusted liaison between stakeholders and the software development team, representing the stakeholder and customer needs for a given feature or product.
– Analyze and translate business and user requirements into high-level features and detailed user stories with acceptance criteria.
– Work with the product owner to break down and prioritize the delivery of product features by maintaining the product backlog and user stories.
– Prepare for and facilitate meetings to gather/clarify requirements, formulate design approaches, and confirm business needs are met while providing clear follow-up steps.
– Perform and conduct acceptance testing for user stories and features.
– Participate in project, development, and deployment planning, support deployment of code to production and pre-production environments.
Required Skills
– Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
– Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
– Ability to complete tasks both independently and with a team to solve problems.
– 1+ years of experience in Agile environments, methodologies, and processes.
– Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or related discipline.
Desired Skills:
– Working knowledge with JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint
– Familiarity with UX/UI concepts and best practices
– Working knowledge of Project Management methodologies

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus’s total compensation package.
Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards.
